The blades are carefully shaped for easy and reliable connection. You can use this to repair or build your own K-type thermocouple or K-type extension wire.
This is a high quality connector, the prongs are made from compensating metal, the same material as the k-type thermocouple wire, which is chromel / alumel, and the metal is stamped on the prongs and marked on the housing.
