Pair of Bowl back Mandolins
Unknown maker or model, there are no markings on the head stock or in the body that show any indication of either. Both need a small amount of upkeep to be playable again. Both need new strings and as pictured the bridges are lifting just a tad, but the tuning machines are functional and the Structure on the back of the Instruments is in incredible condition. These style of mandolins haven't been made for about a hundred years, and for their age these are in Fantastic Condition. The case is sturdy and seems to be homemade. Fits both Mandolins comfortably and has a side pocket for accessories. Looks like it could have been an old shoeshine case. Bowlbacks in this structural condition don't come by too often. The only markings that are the same on the two mandolins are the Fleur De Lis on the headstocks. One mandolin is far more decorated with a tree of life inlay design and an inlayed bird on the pickguard.
